As a Project Manager in the Buildings and Structures team, you will be at the forefront of delivering key projects that shape the future of New Plymouth. Reporting to the Project Manager Lead, you will manage the end-to-end project lifecycle, from initial planning and stakeholder engagement through to delivery and handover.
Lead and manage projects, maintaining compliance with the relevant planning, technical standards, project management and financial approval processes, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, to budget, and to the required quality standards.
Engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure fit for purpose solutions are delivered and agreed project outcomes are met.
Drive and monitor project performance and facilitate improvements required to achieve project objectives.
Proactively identify and effectively manage project risks, working collaboratively to resolve complex issues to minimise or avoid risks to the project.
Drive supplier, contractor and consultant engagement and performance to meet design standards, project milestones and legislative and regulatory requirements.
Tertiary Project Management/Engineering/Architectural/Building/Construction Qualification OR Experience as a Project Manager.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and relationship engagement.
At least three years project management experience working in either the civil or building sectors is desired.
