He angitutanga: The opportunityWe are seeking a Place & Partner Specialist (Arts) for the West Auckland region (Henderson-Massey, Whau & Waitakere Local Boards) to join our diverse and passionate team where you will work with local community arts organisations to deliver services on behalf of and in partnership with Auckland Council.This is a permanent, full time opportunity, working 40 hours per week, offering flexible working.Responsibilities:Supporting partners to develop their practice and community impact.Providing advice to the West Auckland local boards on their arts and culture portfolios and investment including new opportunities.Maintaining contact and developing effective working relationships with both internal and external arts and community partners.Providing both tactical and strategic advice to Elected Members and managers designed to increase the impact of individual partners and the portfolio over time.Participating in annual budgeting, local board work programme development and local board reporting.Ensuring contract documents are drafted, funding expectations are clear and in place, that partners comply with their agreement and that reporting requirements are met.Our Community Wellbeing directorate is committed to making great places Aucklanders love and are at the heart of the community.He korero mou: About youWe are looking for someone who can demonstrate:Previous experience in written and verbal advice to elected members and peers.Strong communication and advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to manage multiple partners and projects.Working knowledge of Toi Whiiki – Auckland Council Arts and Culture Strategy.An ability to broker relationships and collaborative opportunities between council and partners.Relevant and current knowledge of the community and arts sectors.Experience in working with culturally diverse communities combined with a sound understanding of tangata whenua and Te Tiriti o Waitangi issues.Nga ahuatanga kei a matou: What we offerIn return for your hard work, you can expect a flexible and supportive work environment.
