Physiotherapists - Musculoskeletal Orthopaedic Clinical Pathway at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Southern, Otago Salary - $88,627 - $107,600 + Kiwisaver 0.6FTE fixed-term, one year commencing January Part-time, 24 hours per week Mo te turanga - About the role An exciting opportunity is available for a physiotherapist with experience in musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and rehabilitation clinical practice, to join our Orthopaedics team at Health NZ/Te Whatu Ora Southern.
This position sits with the Physiotherapy Orthopaedic Musculoskeletal clinical pathway. You will be responsible for providing patient- and whanau-centred clinical care to patients referred to the Southern Community Orthopaedic team (SCOTs). The pathway, which is community-facing, provides people with strategies to independently manage their condition and aims to prevent or delay surgery. You will work with the SCOTs clinical lead and allied health assistants to plan, facilitate and deliver individual and group exercise and education programmes.
The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of working with patients to achieve functional and vocational goals, optimizing patient outcomes, and facilitating effective discharge and self-management.
Flexibility is essential as this role may require participation in some evening sessions.
A current driver's license is essential to the role, and may be undertaken at a range of community facilities, requiring some travel between sites.

Utu whanui - Salary range This role belongs to the PSA/DHBs Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 3 ($88,627 p.a) and Step 7 ($107,600 p.a. pro rata) of the Degree-Based Allied, Public Health and Technical scale.
