This role is fixed term for 12 months and 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri (anticipated start date - 03 February 2025).
We are seeking a physio who is experienced in rehabilitation and has a keen interest in prosthetics and orthotics. You will be provided with ongoing training and support to enable you to gain specialist skills in amputee rehabilitation.
The successful candidate will work with a wide socio-economic range of patients, on all aspects of post amputation care of the stump(s) through to the fitting and use of artificial limbs. You will attend interdisciplinary clinics, obtain and relay information pertinent to the patient's care and be involved in team decisions regarding on-going care. The ability to develop and maintain strong professional networks will be key in the success of this role.
We are looking for a strong communicator who has the following skill set, linked to the themes of our strategic objectives:
Service – previous experience or keen interest in the delivery of high-quality prosthetic and orthotic care and services to patients. Strong and active relationship with DHBs and other service providers to improve the coordination of patient care.Expert Workforce – registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a full and current annual practicing certificate.
