Reporting into the Head of People & Talent you will play a key role in the effective operation of the People & Talent team by providing coaching, support and expert generalist people advice to managers and employees. The successful candidate will: Partner with the Head of People and Talent to implement people strategyPartner with the business to provide expert generalist people advice and guidanceCoach all Managers to follow best people practices and NZ legislationWork with managers on performance management and disciplinary issuesGenerate documentation for performance and disciplinary issuesKeep the Head of People & Talent informed of all ER issues, seeking advice if neededActively work with managers to drive engagement across the businesses by encouraging use and review of the engagement toolsDrive action plans with managers from engagement survey feedbackAssist with People & Talent reportingRecommend updates to Employment Agreements, HR documentation and HR templatesWork with managers to ensure all new employees have a great onboarding experienceIdeally you will: Have a relevant tertiary qualificationHave a minimum of 5 years relevant People & Talent experience with an in-depth understanding of NZ Employment legislationExcellent communication skills - both verbal and writtenStrong problem solving, influencing, and negotiating skillsHunger, passion, and drive to get the job done, with a 'never give up' attitudeBe self-motivated and self-aware with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality workWork well under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environmentPossess the ability to think laterally and problem solveExcel in building strong working relationships at all levelsStrive to guide, mentor and drive team members to successWhat can we offer you?
