As a People & Talent Business Partner you will be a trusted generalist, who supports and upholds our company values, policies, and procedures. Reporting into the Head of People & Talent you will play a key role in the effective operation of the People & Talent team by providing coaching, support and expert generalist people advice to managers and employees. The successful candidate will:
Partner with the Head of People and Talent to implement people strategy
Partner with the business to provide expert generalist people advice and guidance
Coach all Managers to follow best people practices and NZ legislation
Work with managers on performance management and disciplinary issues
Generate documentation for performance and disciplinary issues
Keep the Head of People & Talent informed of all ER issues, seeking advise if needed
Actively work with managers to drive engagement across the businesses by encouraging use and review of the engagement tools
Drive action plans with managers from engagement survey feedback
Assist with People & Talent reporting
Recommend updates to Employment Agreements, HR documentation and HR templates
Work with managers to ensure all new employees have a great onboarding experience
Ideally you will:
Have a relevant tertiary qualification
Have a minimum of 5 years relevant People & Talent experience with an in depth understanding of NZ Employment legislation
Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
Strong problem solving, influencing, and negotiating skills
Hunger, passion, and drive to get the job done, with a 'never give up' attitude
Be self-motivated and self-aware with a positive outlook and clear focus on high quality work
Work well under pressure in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Possess the ability to think laterally and problem solve
Excel in building strong working relationships at all levels
Strive to guide, mentor and drive team members to success
