Reports To: General Manager, Pukekohe
Position Type: Full-Time, 35 hours per week (Monday - Friday, mostly school hours, with some flexibility for travel outside these times)

Role Overview:
As our People and Culture Champion, you will be the heart of our people operations, focused on cultivating a vibrant work culture, supporting staff growth and development, overseeing recruitment, and managing regular check-ins with Site Managers. Your mission will be to ensure that our values shine through in every part of the employee journey — from hiring the right talent to creating pathways for career growth and fostering an engaging, supportive atmosphere.

Attract Top Talent: Drive recruitment strategies to find and hire passionate, enthusiastic individuals who align with our values.
Onboarding Excellence: Assist with smooth onboarding processes, integrating new hires seamlessly into the Fulton Swim School culture.
Strategic Recruitment: Identify staffing needs as we expand, maintaining a proactive approach to building a pool of qualified candidates.
Performance Management: Conduct regular reviews, offer feedback, and design professional development plans tailored to each team member.
Team Collaboration: Foster an environment of open communication, teamwork, and trust among staff at all levels.
Retention Strategies: Lead initiatives aimed at increasing staff retention and job satisfaction, including benefits reviews and recognition programs.

HR Operations & Compliance
Policy Implementation: Develop and maintain HR policies that reflect our culture and ensure compliance with employment laws.
Payroll & Benefits Management: Assist with payroll processing and employee benefits administration to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Health & Safety Compliance: Collaborate with management to ensure all health and safety regulations are followed, maintaining a safe and enjoyable working environment.
Internal Communications: Ensure clear, consistent communication across all levels of the organisation.
Employee Relations: Serve as a key point of contact for employee concerns, providing support and solutions that align with our values.
Regular Check-ins: Manage and conduct regular check-ins with Site Managers to ensure alignment and address any operational or staff-related issues.

HR Experience: Proven experience in human resources management, focusing on recruitment, culture building, and staff development.
Leadership & Mentorship: A demonstrated ability to lead teams, mentor staff, and inspire others to achieve their best.
People-Centric Approach: Passion for creating a positive work environment that supports growth, collaboration, and well-being.
Recruitment Expertise: Experience developing and executing recruitment strategies for growing organisations.
Organisational Skills: A natural ability to juggle multiple tasks, manage time effectively, and stay organised in a dynamic environment.
Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with staff, management, and external candidates alike.
