People & Culture Advisor

We are looking for an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join us on a 12-month contract to cover a period of parental leave. You will join an established team of nine, so you will get to learn from others who support the business on all people related matters. Including recruitment learning, advice, strategy, and case management. We are a collaborative team with a hands-on Executive. Reporting to the Senior People & Culture Business Partner you will work closely across a portfolio of branches to provide practical and timely advice ensuring the services provided enables the business to perform at its best. We are interested in hearing from candidates with strong hands-on experience in employment relations and a proven ability to coach and partner with managers. This role will manage end to end - PIPs, misconduct, attendance management plans and will support managers through people concerns. You'll also bring to the table the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders as well as your previous HR advisory experience including NZ legislation, policy and process advice. Key Accountabilities:  Employment relations supporting our managers with Performance management, attendance management, wellness conversations etc.Provide first line advice and guidance to managers on policy and processSupport line managers to enhance their team culture to retain staff and attract talentWork in collaboration with the P&C BP with managing activities in the employee lifecycle across the portfolio including performance reviews, goal setting, succession planning, change management and projects.Support the P&C admin team in transactional activitiesSkills and Experience: Practical experience in a P&C Advisory roleExperience running performance management and disciplinary processes Working knowledge of employment legislationExceptional all-round interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt your style to varied audiencesHighly personable, you'll be positive and adaptable and able to build relationships based on your knowledge and creditabilityWe are committed to helping our people grow and succeed with us.
