People & Communication Administrator - Corporate at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Waitaha Canterbury, ChristchurchMo te tunga | About the role 1.0FTE (40 hours a week), Permanent role.Monday to Friday, between 8am - 5pmThe People and Capability (P&C) Administrator role is part of our HR Shared Services (HRSS) whanau. They tautoko (support) the largest workforce in the South Island ensuring we pay our kaimahi (staff) accurately, on time, every time. They are hard-working and dedicated to delivering their mahi (work) to high standards, putting the customer at the centre of what they do.
This P&C Administration kapa (team) tautoko (supports) our rangatira (leaders) and kaimahi (staff) through the employee lifecycle by delivering a high level of customer service and processing Human Resource and Payroll contractual changes and other administration tasks - many of which are based via our Case Management Service. You will spend your time processing these cases to ensure our peoples' HR journey is concise and any changes that affect their pay are processed on time.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Initial focus of this role will be supporting all aspects of compliance with Children's Worker Vetting, including External and Internal kaimahi movements, renewal of expiries, validation of requirements for kaimahi, reviewing applications for accuracy, submitting applications via NZ Police, and processing of the returned results.Performing high quality and high-volume administration tasks to process contractual changes for the upcoming pay run.Supporting the hiring manager and employee throughout the employee lifecycle/journey.Processing employee information and maintaining the confidentiality of information, always.Ensuring legislative compliance across our HR activities.Resolving or escalating complex cases or conflicts.We are looking for someone who has a passion for the manaaki hauora (Health Industry) and wants to contribute in a meaningful way. To be successful in this role, you should enjoy interacting with customers, be able to work autonomously and take initiative. In this role, you would be required to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and handle distractions.
Your skills should include:
Experience in customer service within a fast-paced environment while managing multiple conflicting demands.Payroll knowledge is preferred but not essential.Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.Exceptional computer skills, with the ability to pick up how to use different systems and pivot between them expertly. Sound typing and data entry skills are essential.The ability to be flexible, enjoy and thrive off change, learn as you go, and follow processes to the letter.Attention to detail and accuracy skills.Ability to work and remain calm under pressure to meet required deadlines.Excellent relationship-building skills with our kaimahi (staff); you are not afraid to pick up the phone and work through cases with kaimahi (staff) from other departments.Ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times.When you work at Health New Zealand, Te Whatu Ora, you are part of a wider whanau that will support you along your journey.
