Job Description The opportunity: We are looking for a People Champion Coordinator to join the People & Capability (P&C) team at Skills. This role is crucial in providing exceptional customer service, resolving P&C-related issues, and executing various P&C transactions with accuracy and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with the P&C team, employees, and external partners to ensure smooth and seamless processes for tasks such as benefits administration, onboarding/offboarding, P&C event coordination, training management, leave management, role transitions, and other P&C operational activities.
Please note: This is a fixed term, part-time role (20 hours per week), and the salary will be pro rata. Your key responsibilities: Employee Engagement:
Execute employee engagement programmes to boost morale and strengthen the connection between employees and the organisation. Organise events, workshops, and team-building activities that foster a collaborative and supportive work environment. P&C Compliance:
Stay informed about employment laws and regulations related to P&C transactions, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline P&C processes and enhance the overall employee experience. Compliance and Regulatory Training:
Ensure employees and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) receive necessary compliance and regulatory training, maintaining records to demonstrate compliance. Professional Development:
Facilitate and promote opportunities for employee growth, including leadership development, soft skills training, and career development plans. Internal Communication:
Communicate training initiatives and opportunities to employees, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development. Performance Management Support:
Support the performance management process, assisting managers and employees in setting goals, providing feedback, and tracking progress. Diversity and Inclusion:
Champion cultural sensitivity, diversity, and inclusion efforts within the organisation. Work with P&C and management to implement strategies that create an inclusive workplace where all employees feel respected and valued. Desired Skills and Experience Your skills & qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. Proven administration experience in P&C environments (e.g., L&D, HR, OD, Consultancy). Genuine interest in learning and development; eager to learn. Familiarity with e-learning platforms, HRIS, or learning management systems. Technical proficiency in using systems, MS Office applications, apps, and AI. Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with a strong ability to empathise and assist employees effectively. Detail-oriented with excellent organisational and time management skills. Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues promptly.
