People, Capability and Development AdvisorBoffa Miskell – Christchurch, South IslandWe're on the look-out for someone to provide trusted advice and support for the delivery of our people related systems and processes. This opportunity is for a fixed-term of up to 7 months to cover a period of parental leave.About the roleWorking closely with the PCD Manager, PCD Coordinators and the other PCD Advisors working in specialist areas, this role supports operational HR activities across the nine NZ offices of Boffa Miskell. You'll be supporting and providing advice to key stakeholders including our Business Service Managers around the country. While we need someone happy to be involved in all facets of generalist HR, the successful candidate will need to have experience dealing with routine employment relations matters along with the development and implementation of people-related policy, resources and initiatives.About youIdeally, you'll have the following skills and attributes:5+ years of relevant experience in a generalist HR-focused role.A relevant tertiary qualification (essential).Knowledge of, and experience working within, New Zealand employment law and HR best practice.Experience working alongside management teams to support them with a range of employee related matters.A sound commercial understanding of business operations in the private sector, preferably within a professional services environment.Exceptional interpersonal skills, a collaborative working style and a flexible approach.A strong customer service orientation as a trouble-shooter and problem solver.Excellent communication skills to enable you to work with a wide range of people across geographic boundaries.Highly organised, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and juggle multiple tasks, resources and deliverables.Highly trustworthy, and reliable, with the ability to demonstrate discretion and judgement whilst maintaining confidentiality.About Boffa MiskellBoffa Miskell is a leading New Zealand professional services consultancy, focused on better outcomes for our environment.
