Payroll Officer

We are seeking a **Experienced Payroll Officer** with a minimum of 2 years of New Zealand payroll experience to join our accounts and payroll team. We use state of the art computer software to make this a breeze and work to proven, stringent processes and procedures to ensure of an on time, accurate and compliant payroll each week. This is a full-time role based in Te Rapa, Hamilton, with free on site parking in a modern work environment. **Key Responsibilities:** Processing payroll for an average of over 1000 staff weekly and doubles in peak. Ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance with NZ payroll legislation, including a solid understanding of the New Zealand Holidays Act. Utilising Crystal Payroll for payroll processing and Xero for invoicing. Using advanced Excel skills for payroll reporting and analysis. - Daily collaboration with internal teams including, admin support, recruitment and the accounts team to ensure smooth financial operations. There is also admin and ad hoc accounts duties once payroll is complete each week, that coincides with a payroll function. **Requirements:** At least 2 years of proven New Zealand payroll experience. - Proven ability to handle large volumes of employees- this increases greatly in summer peaks Strong knowledge of the NZ Holidays Act. - Advanced Excel skills are essential. Must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
