The team are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join them in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for their employees.
Position Summary: As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing for this award winning organisation.
This role requires attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
You will collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure compliance with payroll regulations and internal policies and build towards being a team leader.
Key Responsibilities: End to end processing of payroll accurately and on time for all employees using SAP (this can be taught if no previous SAP experience).
Verify timesheets, attendance records, and deductions to ensure accuracy.
Prepare and distribute paychecks or direct deposits.
Handle payroll queries and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
Stay updated on employment regulations and ensure compliance with tax laws and company policies.
Assist with payroll reporting and data analysis as required.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Payroll Officer or similar role such Payroll Administrator etc Solid understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation.
Proficiency in payroll software and MS Office.
Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Effective communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Certificate or diploma in accounting, finance, or related field preferred but not essential.
