Our People and Culture team are going through an exciting period of change and are looking for a Payroll Analyst to support with the delivery of their People Home project, one of Suncorp's strategic objectives. This role will be a 12-month Fixed Term position.
In this role you will be working closely with the Payroll Product Owner and NZ Payroll Advisor to deliver an enhanced payroll proposition for Suncorp NZ.
What you'll do:

Provide payroll subject matter expertise, throughout the project lifecycle.
Work collaboratively with delivery teams and business stakeholders to gather, validate and document business requirements and develop recommendations and solutions that meet business and customer needs.
Create detailed user stories to support delivery.
Conduct data analysis and produce ad hoc reports to support data migration.
Collaborate with system specialists on system design and gap analysis, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
Raise, and support mitigation and resolution of, risks and issues using established tools and frameworks where applicable.

What you'll bring:

Minimum 5 years' experience working with Payroll and Time & Labour systems; Datapay experience would be preferred.
Demonstrated experience in a complex payroll project environment.
Strong understanding of payroll processes, regulations, and legislative compliance requirements, particularly with the Holidays Act.
Operational experience and technical skills across the full payroll spectrum, for New Zealand.
Demonstrated ability to interpret complex payroll and regulatory requirements and translate them into system requirements.
Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience building successful business relationships with, and influencing, stakeholders.
Experience with Agile, Lean and waterfall methodology would be advantageous.
