A fantastic permanent role has arisen with one of Wellington's highest regarded government departments! This dynamic New Zealand employer is looking for an enthusiastic, motivated, and customer-focused Payroll Advisor.About the Role:In this role, you will be responsible for managing your own end-to-end payroll portfolio. You will join a small team that processes the payroll for 800 - 900 staff while ensuring the current legislative requirements are applied to each payroll. To perform this role successfully, your responsibilities will also include:Aspects of internal and external reporting.Responding to payroll queries and supporting management of the payroll inbox.Identifying potential risks and resolving/escalating accordingly.Identification of process improvement opportunities.About You:To be suitable for this role, you will have payroll experience and be comfortable working with a high volume, complex pay run. Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 3 years of experience; however, if you've at least got 2 years and demonstrate a strong aptitude for learning and the right, positive personality, the client is looking for, you will be considered! Beyond this, the ideal candidate would also possess the following:Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience with manual payroll calculations (this is a non-negotiable requirement for this role).Effective time management and problem-solving skills.Strong people skills and a team player.Benefits:This is a great opportunity for someone who is wanting to be mentored and to have their payroll skills developed!
