In this part-time role, you will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining compliance with relevant employment agreements and policies. You'll be the first point of contact for payroll queries, liaising with both staff and management to ensure timely and efficient payroll services. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.About the Team/Service/ Location:Our team in Hawkes Bay is dedicated to providing accurate and timely payroll services, supporting the financial well-being of our staff. You'll be joining a supportive and collaborative finance department committed to excellence in payroll management and service delivery.About you:Producing and analysing pay run reports to ensure correct payment of wages to employeesMaintain up to date and accurate records of payroll transactions ensuring a robust audit and approval trailWork with other payroll staff to ensure processes and procedures are currentResponding to and guiding managers through the management of overpaymentsRecord payroll entries in compliance with relevant legislation, policies and proceduresProvide guidance, training and assistance for less experienced team membersCompetency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growthExperience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.Working for Health New Zealand:Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is 'the weaving of wellness'.
