Rosewood Kauri Cliffs Lodge is located in Matauri Bay, in the North Island of New Zealand. Set on 6,000 acres of Pacific coastland, our luxury lodge is one of the most celebrated boutique resort hotels in the world. About the Role: This is a hands-on position reporting to the Head Pastry Chef Rosewood Kauri Cliffs. Responsibilities include: Creative input with menu development and dish presentation Effort into optimising the cooking process with attention to speed and quality Ensure exceptional hygiene practices are maintained Support the Head Pastry Chef with prep and menu development About You: The successful candidate will be agile, have a can do attitude and proven success working in a high pressure environment. In addition, the successful candidate will have: A minimum of 2 years Pastry Chef experience - any level Exceptional cooking techniques and meticulous processes An interest to actively seek and use local produce The agility to meet the daily guest requests and menu changes Good time management, effective team communication skills and the ability to multitask A hands on Pastry Chef who is involved with the daily operation and delivery of memorable experiences for our guests and the team Core to the success of the individual in this role is that their personal values are aligned with those of Rosewood Hotels: Ownership, Passionate, Transparent, Innovative and Collaborative.
