Are you looking to diversify your commercial experience and driven to create better outcomes for nature? As Partnership Manager, you will be responsible for developing and leading strategic partnership work programs, that deliver tangible results. You will lead and inspire a team of eight advisors, that will report directly into you. Collaborating across DOC, you will encourage a culture that values strategic partnering and commercial and philanthropic investment. Representing DOC externally, you will build and maintain relationships and lead negotiations to secure the best value for our partnerships. Additionally, you will navigate the external investment environment, building valuable connections across business, government and stakeholder groups that ultimately deliver for nature and conservation. The position will be focussed on: developing and leading strategic partnership work programs focused on best practices and strategic outcomes building and leading a high performing team with a reputation for results understanding and navigating the external investment environment, building connections across government and stakeholder groups ensuring co-design with Maori is undertaken when required and support team members in building their capability in this area. To succeed in this role, you will bring specialist commercial and investment expertise, extensive experience in developing high-value partnerships, and strategic problem-solving and analytical skills. Your knowledge in relationship management and stakeholder engagement, coupled with excellent communication skills, will be used to full effect in this role. Your ability to provide frank advice on sensitive issues and communicate clearly will influence trust in those around you. Understanding the obligations of the Crown under the Treaty of Waitangi and how it relates to DOC's work is vital. You will be aware of the differences between Maori and non-Maori worldviews, integrating this understanding into team practices. If you have some of the following, we'd be keen to hear from you: Specialist commercial and investment expertise at a senior level. Specialist knowledge in relationship management and stakeholder engagement. Strong leadership and management capabilities. Understanding of the Crown's obligations under the Treaty of Waitangi and the ability to integrate this into team practices. The salary range for this position is $126,896 - $180,611 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
