How you'll make an impact
We are looking for a stellar Partner Development Representative to support our NZ based sales team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, is energised by a dynamic role, and is an expert in multitasking. We are looking for an operational thinker with a get stuff done attitude!
This role is primarily responsible for facilitating and deepening the relationship with our Accounting and Bookkeeping Partners during the first key phases of our Partners journey with Xero, transitioning them from setup to product utilisation at pace. You'll be the key Point of Contact, guiding and consulting with Partners as they accelerate through the Xero Partner Program onboarding stages and through to their first stages of growth on the platform. You will also work with a portfolio of Partners through their growth phase. Helping to identify opportunities to cross-sell upsell and strengthen their partnership with Xero, eventually transitioning them to an Account Manager. You will be the first point of call for new Partners signing up to become part of the Xero Partner Program. You will also help with facilitating education, events and forums to support new Partners while confidently using the Xero suite of products is also a key part of driving success in this role.
As part of this role, you will be expected to support a range of operational tasks, projects, and systems/data-related activities, which may evolve and change in alignment with business needs and strategic priorities each quarter. Flexibility and adaptability are essential, as you will take on varying responsibilities to contribute to the team's success in an agile environment.


What you'll do

Directly liaise with potential Partners via email, phone, webinars and events, with a focus on the most effective means of engagement throughout the digital activation journey.
Qualifying partner leads that come in to Xero.
Provide phone-based engagement with clients to handle day-to-day issues, responding in a timely manner, including those submitted via email (cases).
Segment/assess opportunities effectively.
Remotely influence and build rapport with potential Partners.
Maintain momentum and act as central point of contact and relationship owner for all of your assigned Partners throughout their onboarding journey.
Monitor patch, including assessing performance, system administration and preparation for timely handover.
Identify opportunities and respond accordingly using the available dashboard data and other reports developed under your People Leaders guidance.
Update CRM system with all practice communications including calls and emails.
Develop best practices processes to support repeatable activities.
Driving attendance and follow up for Xero Sales led events.
Support a variety of operational tasks, projects, and systems/data-related activities, adapting to evolving business needs each quarter.
Contribute to strategic initiatives that require flexibility and cross-functional collaboration.
Undertake additional responsibilities as directed to ensure the success of the team in an agile environment.


Success looks like

Being the first point of contact to collaboratively build and maintain a successful relationship journey and plan for success with Xero. Successfully supporting Xero sales staff in ensuring a high level of data quality to enable the rapid and accurate identification of sales activity and the increase of customer satisfaction. Meeting the monthly target of Partners hitting the handover milestone and meeting monthly activity KPI's.

Ability to build established relationships with Xero Partners.
Telesales experience.
Ability to undertake outbound calls to customers in a consistent and timely manner.
Knowledge of the workings of an accounting practice systems. Experience with CRM Systems.
