We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Part Time Production Chef to lead our production in ensuring the highest quality, safety, and efficiency in our food manufacturing processes. Join us in our mission to bring Roti Pies to the world!Key Responsibilities:Ensure you and the team are enjoying the process!Lead and manage the cooking process of the production department.Make batches of curry pie fillings in 50kg/100kg/200kg+ batches.Make and oversee the making/assembling of the Roti Pies.Test the Roti Pies!Ensure the safety of all production activities, maintaining a culture of safety and compliance with regulations.Optimize production processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency.Develop and implement production schedules, resource allocation, and capacity planning.Foster a collaborative and motivated team environment, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.Oversee inventory management and control to minimize waste and maximize profitability.Maintain and improve product quality standards, adhering to regulatory guidelines.Identify and troubleshoot production issues, implementing innovative solutions.Manage the production budget and control costs to meet financial objectives.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Control, Procurement, and Maintenance, to meet production goals.Qualifications:Proven experience in food production management, preferably in a leadership role.Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control processes.Exceptional leadership, communication, and team management skills.Demonstrated problem-solving and process improvement abilities.Proficient in production planning and resource optimization.Budget management and cost control experience.Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.What We Offer:Competitive hourly rate.Potential shareholding structure for the right candidate and options to grow within the business.Opportunities for professional development and growth.A collaborative and supportive work environment.The chance to make a significant impact on our company's success.Be a BIG part of a small innovative company committed to producing the best pies in NZ and the world.How to Apply:If you're a highly motivated and results-driven Production Chef with a passion for curries, pies, and the food industry, we want to hear from you!
