We are currently seeking a senior-level accounts professional to join our Pukekohe head office, which employs over 30 staff.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of debtors, creditors, and assist with the general ledger and transactional data.
A comprehensive understanding of day-to-day accounting functions is essential.

What they offer: Competitive pay Autonomy of the role Awesome part time hours Monday to Thursday/Friday (TBC) (4 or 5 days per week) Onsite parking Great team environment About the role: You will be responsible for accurate financial record keeping, timely invoicing, and efficient reconciliation processes, along with the following: Oversee and manage all accounting operations Lead and mentor a team of administrative staff Accounts Receivable & Payable Accurately processing and reconciling monthly accounts in XERO Month end accounts, completing GST and PAYE filing and payments to the IRD General ledger- data entry of daily sales and sales invoices Payroll processing in Xero Reporting to the board of directors Minute taking for monthly board meetings General administration duties including answering the phone Vehicle/Fleet maintenance and management Work closely with the Accountant and Directors, and provide admin support where needed The ideal candidate will: Have at least 5 years' experience in a similar role Have practical experience using Xero, Microsoft Word/Excel Have strong numerical and analytical skills Be adaptable and willing to learn new processes and software Be a great communicator, team player and can have a bit of a laugh.
This role will suit someone who lives locally and wants to beat the Auckland traffic.
