We're seeking a skilled and motivated Accounts Assistant to join our client's team in the heart of Auckland CBD. This is a great part-time opportunity for someone looking to balance professional development with flexible hours, all while making a valuable contribution to a successful organisation.

Location: Auckland CBD 
Work-type: Permanent Part-time 
Hours: Approximately 25-30 hours per week, spread over 4-5 days, with flexibility to suit your preferred schedule (office-based).

About the role:
In this position, you'll play a key part in supporting the GM of Finance, providing essential support across a variety of financial tasks. Key responsibilities include:
Managing accounts payable and receivable processesProcessing invoices, payments, and collections using MYOBConducting bank reconciliations and month-end reconciliationsAssisting with tax filings and compliance requirementsSupporting payroll processing, including monthly/fortnightly tracking through iPayrollMaintaining the Fixed Assets RegisterDriving weekly and monthly timesheet reviews and ensuring accuracyMonitoring financial transactions and ensuring they are accurately recordedAssisting with financial reporting and analysis tasks as requiredTo thrive in this role, you will need: At least 2 years of accounting experience, ideally within a professional services environmentAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create detailed spreadsheets and reportsExperience using MYOB and iPayroll (preferred)Strong attention to detail, with excellent analytical and numerical skillsA proactive approach and the ability to manage your workload independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindsetA qualification such as AT or similar would be advantageous but not essentialThis is an excellent opportunity to work flexible hours while developing your accounting career and you'll enjoy a friendly and supportive working environment, professional growth opportunities, and a fantastic central location near transport hubs for easy commuting.
