We are looking for a Parks and Garden Maintenance Officer with a passion for green spaces and the outdoors to work with us to maintain and enhance these important places.About the role | Ko te mahi neiThe role of a Parks and Garden Maintenance Officer is an exciting position where you'll showcase your experience, talent, and passion for the horticultural world by delivering projects that are highly valued and meet the needs of the communities and users they serve. As a Parks and Gardens Maintenance Officer, you'll be responsible for a wide range of maintenance, upkeep, and improvement of Christchurch City's parks and spaces.Your duties will include:Mowing, hand and ride on.Line trimming.Spraying.Weeding.Planting.Cleaning BBQs and water fountains.Being a committed team player who is always looking for ways to learn, grow, and improve.Ensuring all aspects of our parks such as turf, gardens, and all associated furnishings are maintained to the highest standard.Having a full driver's license, level 4 National Certificate in Horticulture or equivalent, or extensive experience in a similar role.A Grow Safe qualification, class two truck license, and W endorsement would be highly desirable but not essential.
