Napier City Council is seeking level-headed and resilient team players to join the parking team and enforce parking requirements in accordance with relevant legislation. This role requires a switched-on individual who is able to deal with members of the public in a calm and professional manner. A good level of fitness is required as you will be required to walk for significant periods. We are looking for someone who has: The ability to interpret and enforce traffic regulation, bylaws, and policies in a firm, fair, and positive manner. A high standard of personal presentation. The ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a professional manner. Able to handle tense, difficult, or confrontational situations with tact and diplomacy. A methodical and practical approach to duties. Able to exercise mature judgement. A full clean NZ driving licence. You may be required to work some late nights and public holidays on a rostered basis, so some flexibility in work hours is required.
