The Village Painter reports directly to the Village Manager.
The Painter is part of a wider team including administration, village maintenance, activities, housekeeping, kitchen, laundry, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:Responding and providing resolution to all planned and unplanned maintenance issues (i.e., villa staining, refurbishment, villa washdown, tarnished surfaces, etc.)
in an efficient and timely manner.General maintenance including painting and villa touch-up.Planned maintenance managing any subcontractors as required ensuring all work is carried out to an acceptable standard and all key stakeholders including the village manager are informed of timing, work to be completed, and completion dates.Applies various finishes to buildings, rooms, or other structures, including primers, stain, or sealers.Prepares, cleans, and tapes all job sites.Removes old paint coating, if necessary.Mixes colors or oils to obtain desired color or consistency.Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.Moves necessary materials around job site as assigned.Cleans up worksite debris.Commitment to Health & Safety, ensuring your own safety and that of other staff and residents by understanding and complying with Health and Safety policy and procedures, wearing protective clothing and using protective equipment, reporting any pain or discomfort as soon as possible, reporting all accidents and incidents, and communicating any health and safety concerns to your manager.Completing and maintaining all required documentation (i.e., annual maintenance plan, maintenance log, equipment inventory, etc.)
