Having recently completed a large expansion of our South Auckland site, we are looking to the future to build on our successes and expand our horizons.We are looking for a Team Leader who will help take the lead in health & safety & quality alongside driving production output & efficiency and contribute to developing a high-performing team within the sorting & packing area.If you have a solid understanding & experience within a manufacturing environment, good computer literacy, a strong quality focus, health & safety knowledge, and a natural ability to manage a team we would love to hear from you! The team leader role is a full-time permanent role working Monday - Friday 2:20pm - 10:50pm and based in Mangere, Auckland. Key role-specific tasks: Complete production and batch documentation for start-up, in-process, and closure requirementsMaintain area efficiency and ensure shift productivity targets are metLiaise with Supervisor, planners, and other Team Leaders when production changes ariseLiaise with Engineering to ensure maintenance issues are being proactively addressedProvide ongoing training for team membersParticipate in routine packing activities as requiredMaintain a high level of GMP and product quality standardsPromote teamwork between the shifts to maintain continuity in all areasComply with all health and safety, quality, and operator guidelinesWe're looking for a capable and disciplined professional, who's aligned with our values, and committed to delivering high-quality products to our customers.What we are after: Qualification in Science or Food Technology is beneficial but not required2 years' experience in a similar role is preferred.Eligibility to work in New Zealand is a mustGood written and spoken communication skillsA good level of physical fitness as there are often long periods of standingStrong adherence to workplace Health and Safety practicesThe ability to work in a team environmentExcellent attention to detailAn understanding of the importance of working to strict deadlines.What we can provide: At NZHM, we followed our passion and instinct.
