OurVets Halswell - Companion Animal Veterinarian - Christchurch Position type: Companion Animal Veterinarian OurVets Halswell is a well-established small animal practice who pride ourselves on giving great standards of care to both our patients and our clients. We are a close-knit and caring team who work hard and enjoy a good laugh along the way.
About the role and clinic:
We are looking for a small animal veterinarian to join our wonderful team of experienced veterinarians, a strong veterinary nursing team and dedicated practice manager. Our existing team of veterinarians have nearly 50 years' experience between them!
We encourage career growth and development, developing special interests or being fantastically all rounded general practitioners.
You'll enjoy a good balance of consults and surgeries.
This full-time role offers flexibility between 35-40 hours per week including 1:4 Saturdays.
Our clinic is well-equipped - complete with ultrasound, x-ray and in-house lab.
We have a spacious setup including separate dental suite, surgical theatre and prep room. We are also excited to be getting laparoscopic equipment for keyhole surgery in 2025!
OurVets Halswell collaborate closely with our wider OurVets group = with regular meetings and CPD events.
We are a community focused clinic and enjoy engaging with our local community - we are based in a wonderful growing suburb with great clientele and some lovely local walks/parks close enough for a lunchtime stroll.

We are looking for a passionate small animal veterinarian with:
BVSc qualification (or equivalent) and registered, or eligibility to register to practice in New Zealand is required.
2+ years of small animal veterinarian experience, comfortable with routine surgery and consultations.
