Orchard Practice Manager

We are a Kiwifruit growing company based in Bay of Plenty. We are looking for an Orchard Practice Manager.

To be successful in this role, you must:

A qualification in business/horticulture/agriculture OR a minimum of 1 year of work experience in a horticulture/agriculture setting at a supervisory/managerial position.

Be well organized with good time management.

Be honest and enthusiastic with a positive and mature attitude.

Be available to work on all weekends.

Be available to work on public holidays (if required).

You will be responsible for:

Ensuring that required resources are available to execute work as per contracts and commitments.

Planning and creating work schedules for assigned orchards. Communicating with field/workforce supervisors regarding work schedules and delivery deadlines.

Allocating work to supervisors/team leaders.

Ensuring that required equipment and tools are available for scheduled work.

Ensuring that all orchard work is completed appropriately and on time. Signing off work completion.

Ensuring efficient resource utilization.

Ensuring that health and safety protocols, procedures, and policies are appropriately implemented and complied with.

Ensuring that all orchards are well maintained.

Maximizing crop yield and quality.

Communicating with growers, packhouses, and other relevant stakeholders as required for completion of work.

Other Details:

Pay rate: $31-33 per hour

Minimum Hours: 30 per week

Location of Work: Bay of Plenty Region

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
