About us For over 125 years, T&G Fresh has nourished generations of Kiwis with fresh fruit and vegetables. We grow, pack, market, sell, distribute, import and export fresh produce from our own orchards and farms, as well as from over 700 Kiwi growers.
As a fifth generation family-run business based in Alexandra, Hinton's is a 159ha orchard famous for growing cherries, apricots, nectarines, peaches, plums, and peacharines for consumers in New Zealand and Asia.
About the opportunity We're looking for a Mechanic to join the team at Hinton's Orchard in Alexandra. This is a full-time, permanent position (Monday to Friday), reporting to the Orchard Manager.
You'll be responsible for repairs and maintenance of orchard and packhouse machinery, including tractors, forklifts, and hydraladas, ensuring all machinery is operating at a high standard. You'll also ensure that maintenance records are maintained, and Health & Safety practices are followed.
The role has an immediate start, and we're offering a competitive hourly rate plus company ute and onsite accommodation.
