About the roleAs an Account Manager reporting to the Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our valued corporate clients. This full-time role is based in our Auckland CBD office and involves working closely with both our clients and internal teams to deliver exceptional service and drive business growth. What you'll be doingProactively manage and develop relationships with a portfolio of corporate clientsUnderstand client needs to negotiate and manage client contracts and agreementsIdentify and capitalise on opportunities to expand existing client accountsParticipate in client meetings, presentations and events to strengthen relationshipsWhat we offerA People First culture – we put our people and customer at the fore front of all we doEnjoy your birthday off!We have a beautiful new office space at the bottom of Queen Street which is shared between House of Travel HQ and Orbit Auckland where fun and enjoyment are high on the priority list! An active culture committee plus a dedicated health and wellbeing platformA small, close-knit team of 5 within a wider Orbit team of approx. 30 in officeWhile you'll be working 5 days a week in our office, there is flexibility around your desired start and finish times.What we're looking forProven experience in an account management or sales role, ideally within the travel industry to ensure you've got a good understanding of airfares and knowledge of travel products.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with clientsStrong negotiation and problem-solving abilities to handle client requests effectivelyProactive and driven, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer serviceAbility to prioritise and manage a varied and substantial workload with follow-up accuracy and a high level of attention to detail.As part of the House of Travel Group, we have recently been awarded as the Best Place to Work (Large Category) – join us today and see for yourself!
