About the rolePalms Dental Centre, a leading dental practice in Christchurch, is seeking an experienced Oral Health Therapist / Hygienist to join our team on a part-time or full-time basis. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care and services to our valued patients, contributing to the overall health and wellbeing of the community.What you'll be doingPerforming routine dental cleanings, scaling, and polishing to maintain optimal oral hygiene for patients.Conducting oral examinations, assessing dental health, and developing personalised treatment plans.Providing education and advice to patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care.Administering local anaesthesia and other dental treatments as needed.Collaborating with the dentists and the wider dental team to ensure seamless patient care.Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.Adhering to all relevant health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe, sterile work environment.What we're looking forQualification as an Oral Health Therapist or Registered Dental Hygienist.Experience in a similar role within a dental practice or clinic is preferred.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.Proficient in the use of dental equipment and technology.Excellent time management and organisational skills.What we offerAt Palms Dental Centre, we are committed to the wellbeing and professional development of our employees.
