Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Operator Shift Leader! We are looking for dedicated individuals to help us maintain high-quality production standards in our facility.
About the role
We are looking for an Operator Shift Leader to work in a unique manufacturing facility producing novel proteins. This is a dynamic role that oversees production shifts, ensures product quality and production targets are met while maintaining safety standards. This is a rostered role on a 24/7 operations basis.
This is both a hands-on role as well as a leadership role, where the incumbent needs the ability to troubleshoot equipment and systems, ensure adherence to procedures across a shift, as well as provide production knowledge to ensure efficient and safe operation, maximizing resources and up-time across our facility. You should be able to seamlessly move between different areas of the production process, identifying and solving issues in real-time.

The ability to effectively lead, organise & motivate a team to achieve results
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work as part of a team within a diverse workforce
Good time management and organisational skills
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Experience in food manufacturing and/or protein extraction
Understanding of machinery operation and maintenance
Ability to maintain detailed batch records and documentation in compliance with cGMP standards
Ability to conduct and oversee teams involved in upstream and downstream bioprocessing operations, from input preparation to product pack
A forklift license (or the ability to obtain one)
Ability to thrive in a dispersed leadership and collaborative model of business
Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation is a requirement of this role.
