Small and large projects working in with existing site teams or taking the lead, their services are supported by design capability and professionally prepared quotations and project documentation.
About the role This is a newly created position reporting to the Director as a result of the phenomenal growth the business is experiencing. Through effective planning, administration and client satisfaction you will work collaboratively with the wider team to ensure a future pipeline of work.
Key duties and responsibilities include: Developing operational systems, processes and procedures to enhance project workflow.Creating accurate job estimates from designs and drawings with appropriate schedules of work, liaising closely with clients and the wider teams to allocate resources, delivering on time and within budget.Maintaining effective oversight of project plans, able to prioritise activities according to risks, shifts and constraints – both operational and financial.Fostering effective supplier relationships to ensure quality materials, parts and consumables are sourced, procured and delivered on time.Proactively responding to customer needs, concerns or updates on projects and activities.Providing support activities such as business development, invoicing, timesheet management, client management. About you Our ideal candidate will have:
Proven experience in project planning, preferably within engineering, fabrication or manufacturing.Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings or design specifications would be desirable.Effective communication and relationship skills to build trust and collaboration.Commercially savvy with an understanding of wider business factors – and how to respond to them.Competency in business administration functions, including invoicing and financial tracking.Familiarity with project management software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).Able to work under pressure and adjust to changing priorities; willing to roll sleeves up.A genuine desire to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
