Operations Specialist in the NTS programme
Permanent opportunity based in Wellington.
The National Ticketing Programme is a significant programme of work in partnership with NZTA and Public Transport Authorities (PTAs) throughout New Zealand to develop one common payments platform and service for all public transport in the country.
This aims to transform the way New Zealanders travel on public transport, on any mode, anywhere in the country, using card or smart devices, consolidated into one easy payment system. It is a critical part of achieving New Zealand ambitions for a safer, more sustainable land transport system.
Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity The TTP Operations Specialist performs key Service Management functions within NTS services that enable the delivery of a high-quality service to the PTA's and end users and works to ensure service support and service delivery processes are in place to meet business needs.
This position is a critical operational role that requires you establish and manage expectations with NTS suppliers and drive the team to achieve those expectations to a high standard. You will also be a key advocate for the quality operations of TTP products and services.
Please note, on call may be required for this role.
Ko koe tenei | About you To be successful in this role, you will bring:
Able to demonstrate the ability to undertake the above responsibilities as outlined in the position description
Service Management or support in a large-scale and diverse environment of incident management, escalation procedures and related disciplines
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage and prioritise tasks and time efficiently
Demonstrates a high degree of flexibility including shift and out of hours working
Strong stakeholder relationship management, influencing and communication skills
Experience coordinating 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services as an aggregator
Good knowledge/experience of ITIL disciplines
Committed to driving continuous improvement through all aspects of work
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Maori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Maori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
