Operations Manager - Utilities Infrastructure We are New Zealand's newest Electricity & Fibre embedded networks company. Our core focus is on delivering intelligent infrastructure solutions, i.e. electricity and fibre solutions for our clients. We gained Electricity & Fibre Network Operator status in 2021, one of a new breed of utility providers. Role The Operations Manager role will work with the wider Team to ensure projects are designed, constructed and livened to the agreed timeframe with our client. We're all about energy, enthusiasm, and a commitment to growth. You'll need to be meticulous, organized, and adaptable, capable of managing shifting priorities with finesse. To be successful you must be confident with dealing with a range of clients, consultants and our team. Not afraid to have a hard conversation, and motivated to lead by example. You'll need to be able to co-ordinate the needs of the client, construction and the project team. Promoting a workplace where problem solving and creativity flourish are the norm. The Operations Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing various operational, quoting, financial and aspects critical to our project lifecycle. This role requires a strategic thinker with project feasibility skills and a proactive approach to contract management. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with the Managing Director, and Project team, to build intelligent designs, quotations, contract management and project timelines. Identify and manage programme and project risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Lead procurement processes, including managing contracts and service level agreements. Monitor and report on programme effectiveness and project performance. Develop and implement process improvements. Coordinate, plan and execute workflow activities. Review project costs and variation cost changes. Build and manage relationships with the wider team, consultants and clients to support project delivery. Ensure all contract KPIs are met. Ensure compliance with ASNZS standards. Health & Safety is always a part of a project programme. The Person Min 5-years experience in electrical, telecommunications or construction preferred. You exhibit strong leadership qualities. You inspire and guide team members through effective communication, strategic vision, and a commitment to fostering a collaborative and empowering work culture. At least 3-years experience in business development. Previous experience in contract management an advantage. A management background working across multiple projects. Essential skills - strong verbal and written communications, facilitation and negotiation, commercial judgement and robust knowledge of a construction programme.
