Location: Based in Christchurch, covering travel to Otago, Dunedin, West Coast, Marlborough, and Nelson
Travel: 30-40% monthly with occasional overnight stays
Reporting to: Regional Manager (Christchurch-based)
Franchise Support: 55-60 franchisees with an indirect team of 600 cleaners
Role Overview:
As the Operations Manager for the South Island, you will ensure franchisee and customer satisfaction through strong site support, franchisee guidance, and operational excellence. This includes frequent site visits, training, adherence to contract specifications, and Health & Safety compliance. You will be a key conduit between the franchisees and the business, delivering essential messages and strategies that drive everyone toward a shared success.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct regular site visits to franchisees for quality assurance and relationship building
Train franchisees and their teams on company standards, operations, and contract compliance
Support new franchisee start-ups, ensuring smooth initial operations and onboarding
Maintain contract knowledge and apply adherence to specifications and operational standards
Act as the primary point of contact, ensuring franchisee alignment with company messaging and goals
Ensure H&S guidelines are met across sites
Skills and Experience Needed:
Previous experience in the cleaning, maintenance or facilities industry
Strong operations and audit/compliance experience
Effective communicator with high emotional and cultural intelligence
Excellent organisational and planning skills, with a detail-oriented approach
Confidence in administering business methodology and best practices
Proven people skills to manage diverse personalities within franchisee teams
Additional Information:
Monday to Friday role, with occasional weekend or evening work as needed
