Management (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)Blue Star Taxis is looking for an Operations Manager to oversee and enhance our daily operations, ensuring we continue to meet and exceed customer expectations.Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will play a pivotal role in managing our fleet, drivers, office staff, and key stakeholder relationships. From maintaining operational standards to ensuring a collaborative and high-performing office environment, this role offers a diverse range of responsibilities and the opportunity to make a significant impact on the business.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain Blue Star's values and standards across all vehicles and personnel.Ensure drivers are well-trained, in uniform, and consistently deliver excellent customer service.Oversee the induction of new drivers, from administration to on-road readiness.Manage fleet inspections, quality control for vehicles and uniforms, and resolve complaints.Oversee and coordinate projects to ensure successful planning, execution, and delivery, aligning with organisational goals and timelines.Supervise office staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and fostering a supportive team environment.Manage workloads, assign tasks, and oversee staff development, including training and performance reviews.Maintain relationships with key accounts, resolving complaints promptly and effectively.Act as the primary contact for the outsourced Call Centre, ensuring smooth communication and issue resolution.Assist in preparing and presenting monthly operational reports to the Board of Directors.Support the general office with dispatch, system queries, phone calls, and email management.About YouYou are an organised and motivated professional with a passion for operational excellence and team leadership. If you're ready to take on a role where your contributions will directly impact the success of the organisation, we'd love to hear from you.Skills and ExperienceProven experience in operations management, ideally within the transport or service industry.Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience supervising office staff.Expertise in quality control and customer relationship management.Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Experience in managing outsourced services (e.g., Call Centres).Familiarity with training and disciplinary procedures.Tertiary qualifications in business or operations management.Experience with Xero, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
