The position will be based in Christchurch.The ideal candidate will be responsible for the efficient and effective operation of Pacific Seals Ltd. Your focus will be on optimising processes, managing inventory and ensuring timely order fulfillment. You'll lead a dedicated team, driving efficiency and quality to meet our customers' needs. If you are a strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence, we'd love to hear from you!Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and General Management: Oversee daily operations across the business ensuring that performance targets are achieved. Implement all Board approved strategies and plans.People Leadership and Management: Provide day to day leadership and management of the team, who are based in Wellington and Christchurch. Foster a team culture that is motivated and productive.Sales and Marketing Management: Work together with the Sales Manager to ensure a comprehensive sales strategy is followed.Procurement and Logistics: Foster strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and reliable deliveries.Quality, Health and Safety Management: Ensure a safety conscious ethos exists with the Pacific Seals team and foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.Skills, Competencies and ExperienceTo be successful you will need to have:3 years of proven experience in operations management, preferably in distribution or manufacturingTertiary qualification in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering or a related field preferredExperience leading a small team in multiple locationsGreat communication skills; at ease building relationships with customers, suppliers and staff alikePossess engineering or mechanical aptitudeProject management know-how and proven track recordSales and marketing experienceHigh level of computer competency including ERP systemsPositive 'hands-on' approach is a mustMost importantly a track record of getting things done!This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a great team.Please submit a copy of your CV and a cover letter detailing your experience and interest for the position.
