We are recognized for our emphasis on fast response times, advanced security technologies, and a proactive approach to safeguarding both assets and individuals.The Operations Manager – Events and Venues will report through to the North Island Manager – Events and Venues and hold a key leadership position in supporting the planning, management, and delivery of events and conferencing. This role will provide outstanding service to our clients and work in partnership to ensure the highest level of delivery and customer service. This role will be based out of our Head Office in Auckland city.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive security plans for events, including risk assessments, emergency response strategies, and crowd control measures.Full oversight of event day operations, delivery, and team management.Ensure compliance with local laws, safety regulations, and event-specific security protocols.Conduct post-event evaluations, including incident reports, to ensure continuous improvement of event delivery services.Stakeholder Engagement, attending all event-related meetings serving as the primary point of contact for assigned clients and ensuring active participation and representation with key stakeholders.Prepare and manage budgets and costs, ensuring adherence to financial parameters and timely reporting as required.Identify recruitment and training requirements, supporting of the process and ensuring compliance.Demonstrated experience within Operational Management.Event Industry experience or similar.Holds, or has the ability to get, a Certificate of Approval (COA).Demonstrated experience in Security Management, preferably within the event or entertainment industry.Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee large teams in fast-paced environments.Familiarity with crowd management strategies, emergency response protocols, and local safety regulations.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, staff, and inter-agency partners.Current full NZ Drivers License.Excellent computer literacy (including Microsoft Office Suite, databases, and event software).Nou te rourou – What's in it for youCompetitive salary and opportunity to work alongside NZ leading events and venues specialists.Company vehicle, laptop, phone.Access to a suite of employee benefits.Join us and leverage your skills in a role where you'll make a significant impact, driving business success and contributing to a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
