About the role – We have a fantastic opportunity for an Operations Assistant to join our organised, efficient and supportive operations team.
This is a pivotal and multifunctional role for our successful business.
You will assist in all aspects of manufacturing our Deosan products, including batch manufacture, product packaging, forklift driving, quality control, maintenance activities, general cleaning, and warehouse storage.
You will be responsible for unloading and the receipt of goods assisting with the dispatching and logistics of the products and some quality and specification checks.
This role reports to our experienced and knowledgeable Production Manager who will provide mentoring and teaching about safe manufacturing and chemical handling methods.
You will thrive in an environment where you are part of an inclusive team, you will attend and be involved in regular team meetings, and you will contribute to and participate in all aspects of health and safety.
This role involves taking responsibility for an essential part of our successful business.
You must be able to work on your own at times in this critical role, be reliable and confident to deliver quality work adhering to processes and you will be committed to Deosan's core purpose and passion for our products.
You will have your own KPIs and training plan and you will be contributing to Deosan's vision and culture daily.
Essential skills we are looking for – Dairy industry or chemical handling knowledge and experience is preferable.
A clean, full Class 1 NZ Driver's licence with D and F endorsement is an advantage.
The physical ability to lift 20kg bags of chemicals daily.
Demonstrated sound numeracy and literacy skills.
A team player with a natural affinity for learning.
A personable approach, flexible, can-do attitude, and team player.
Confident verbal and written communication skills.
An excellent eye for detail.
An excellent understanding of and commitment to Health and Safety.
Basic knowledge of Word, Excel, ERP systems, and data entry skills.
