About this role: A place of belonging and inspiration, we have a duty of care and responsibility to Te Urewera.
The Onukurani Operations Manager role provides key people and programme coordination to the delivery outcomes of the Onukurani team and is a key ally to the Onukurani Group Manager.
The Operations Manager keeps our wharua based Kaitoro (bushcrew) teams connected, organising themselves as a Te Urewera whole, able to receive and share learnings from within and between wharua and supporting the Group Manager to maintain healthy, transparent and accountable relationships.
What we are wanting to see: Some very joined up, responsible teams and smooth workflows that enable learnings to be quickly taken up.
To begin with a focus on the capability needs of teams will be paramount as will the need for workable systems to aid with transparency and understanding across our Kaitoro teams.
About You: Ability to formulate short and long range objectives and plans keeping innovations, latest best practice standards and recent developments at the forefront.
Familiarity with systems, databases and their functionality.
Proven ability to identify issues and weaknesses in process.
A successful history of experience in systems development.
Confidence and competency in the use of relevant IT systems.
Coaching and demonstrated oral and written communication skill, showing the ability to influence at a range of operational levels.
Competency with Microsoft applications.
Experience of contributing to operational delivery within Te Urewera.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of Tuhoetana, and the development pathway of the Tuhoe Tribals, hapu and people.
Experience in Tuhoe community development issues and/or has worked in a Tuhoe organization for 5 years or more.
