The Christchurch Methodist Mission (CMM) is a registered community housing provider delivering a range of housing and housing support services in Christchurch, the Upper South Island, and West Coast.
The Blenheim Housing Division provides housing services in Blenheim for people who have experienced or face homelessness. This includes a transitional housing service, Housing First, support to clients while in emergency housing, Sustaining Tenancies, and long-term social housing.

About the Role:
CMM Blenheim is looking for a live-in on-site supervisor to oversee a transitional housing complex of 16 units in Springlands. The role comes with a 3-bedroom house situated on-site for you and your whanau, which comes at a reduced rent.
This position ideally suits a couple or family interested in developing community and building relationships with whanau that stay at the transitional housing motel complex.
Options around what duties you will perform are noted below, as getting the right person/whanau matters:

As an on-site supervisor responsible for grounds, you will be the first port of call to respond to any after-hours disturbances, build positive relationships with clients living in the complex, promote and enforce the rules for the complex, and provide regular communication to CMM staff. The role also includes daily upkeep at the complex, including maintaining the lawns, gardens, and grounds.
The on-site supervisor responsible for grounds and maintenance entails the duties described above plus undertaking both scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure properties, including office spaces, are in good repair and condition.
The on-site supervisor responsible for grounds, maintenance, and cleaning entails the duties described above plus cleaning office spaces and assisting with house cleans as whanau move to long-term housing.
Remuneration is based on experience and level of duties undertaken.
What You Will Bring to the Role:
Excellent maintenance skills and knowledge of gardening
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Responsible, reliable, flexible person with a bright positive attitude who likes interacting with people
A desire to see the best in people and create a sense of community within the motel complex
Sound judgement with good initiative and ability to think outside the box
Experience working with people from a variety of cultures and in different circumstances
Time management skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple activities often in stressful situations
Able to work with limited supervision
Able to maintain frequent walking, standing, lifting, carrying, climbing, and crouching throughout the day
