Join DOC Te Papa Atawhai as our next OIA Advisor.As OIA Advisor, you'll work closely with your OIA colleagues to provide advice and trouble-shoot on matters that are particularly sensitive or complex. You can expect to work with senior staff and be confident identifying risk and providing strategic advice. The team works at pace and is an extremely responsive, deadline driven environment, working collaboratively to draw on the strengths of all team members.The position will be focused on:Providing consistent and accurate OIA advice across the organisation.Working closely alongside our Legal and Media teams, and other stakeholders.There's plenty of interesting work and opportunities to broaden your skills and grow your career with DOC.We are looking for a proactive and committed individual who is confident giving advice across the organisation on OIA and associated matters.If you have some of the following, we are keen to hear from you:At least 2+ years' experience in an OIA or Ministerial environmentStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong attention to detail, and risk-mitigationExperience of using a workflow management toolEffective and persuasive communicator both written and oralStrong team playerMo te tima | About the teamThe OIA Team forms part of the wider Governance and Government Services Team. The OIA team develop and own systems to support all of DOC with managing OIAs and ensuring appropriate engagement around information releases across DOC and with external parties, including the Minister.The team is diverse, and we keep the team spirit and connection alive through real-time, daily stand ups to ensure we're all working collectively to achieve great work.DOC places importance on developing a culture where everyone can participate, thrive, and grow.
