Office Management (Administration & Office Support) Hutt Art is an incorporated society in Lower Hutt that provides a venue for people to meet and practice their art.
We have numerous groups that regularly meet together to practice their art discipline, which can include tutored classes.
There are also two galleries where exhibitions are held throughout the year.
Hutt Art is looking for a permanent part-time Office Manager to manage the day-to-day running of the society starting January 2025, with some opportunity for training with the incumbent Office Manager in December.
This is a paid role for 20 hours a week.
The expected office hours are from 10am to 2pm Monday to Friday, and one evening per month to attend the committee meeting.
Office hours are negotiable for the right candidate.
This job cannot be done remotely.
Key Responsibilities: Manage bookkeeping and accounts Membership, art class and studio hire administration General office administration including purchasing supplies, organising general maintenance and liaising with external groups on behalf of the Hutt Art Society.
Working closely with the Gallery Management team and Committee to ensure efficient running of the centre and galleries.
Essential skills and experience: Proficiency with Xero, our accounting system.
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail Ability to problem solve and multitask Ability to work unsupervised Relationship building Applicants must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand.
