Morven Glenavy Ikawai Irrigation Company – Timaru, South Island Morven Glenavy Ikawai Irrigation Company Ltd delivers water from the Waitaki River to farmer shareholders. We have a friendly team based in Glenavy who are responsible for the operations and maintenance of infrastructure, support services and environmental services. Glenavy is a short commute from either Waimate or Oamaru.We are currently seeking a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to join our team and help streamline our operations. As the Office Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining an efficient and effective office environment. You will be responsible for overseeing accounts payable and receivable, contracts, processes, health and safety and daily administrative functions.The ideal candidate is a self-starter with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.Key Responsibilities: - Oversee accounts payable and receivable daily office operations and ensure a smooth workflow.- Manage our Administrator- Take minutes at monthly Board meetings and provide support to the Chair, Directors and sub-committees as required- Lead the smooth running of the office, including assisting with computers and IT- Work with our company accountants to provide accurate information and support and assist in the development of annual budgets and producing regular financial projections and reports.- Manage records of Water Supply Agreements, share register, easements and company database- Assist with onboarding new employees and maintain employee records.- Implement and improve office policies, procedures, and systems to enhance efficiency.- Monitor and implement our Health and Safety Management Plan and maintain appropriate records- Prepare and process invoices, budgets, and other financial documents as needed.- Organise company events, meetings, and team-building activities.You'll have:- Proven experience as an Office Manager or in a similar administrative role such as a Legal Executive.- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.- Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office management software.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.- Positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment.- The ability to work in New ZealandWhat we offer:- A competitive remuneration package- Interesting and varied work- A small, friendly and collaborative team- A company that cares about the wellbeing and success of our people Be careful - Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
