Our client is a successful and well-established company with a small, hardworking team on the ground in Timaru that is part of a larger operation.
They are looking for an efficient and approachable Office Manager who can work independently and handle multiple tasks with ease.
Key Responsibilities Manage financial administration including accounts payable and receivable, GST/PAYE, bank reconciliations.
Complete monthly payroll processing for up to 80 staff using iPayroll.
Monitor and reconcile bank accounts.
Prepare documents and reports for audits.
Accurately complete export documentation and related compliance activities.
Use Xero, Excel, and the wider MS Office suite.
Provide general administrative support to the team.
Complete a range of other ad hoc reporting and administrative tasks as requested by management.
Maintain positive working relationships with external stakeholders.
Role Requirements Strong experience in financial administration, including accounts payable, receivable, GST, and payroll.
Proficiency in Excel is vital.
Experience using Xero and iPayroll would be advantageous.
Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple competing tasks.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
Previous experience preparing for audits and managing export documentation is a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with fluency in English.
Due to the different work schedules of the Timaru team, this role will suit someone who is equally happy working solo in the office as with others around.
You will be confident enough to ask questions and resolve any issues that arise.
