NorthChamber - Northland Chamber of Commerce enables and empowers business in Northland to thrive.
We are a not-for-profit that partners and collaborates with business and social enterprises across Northland.
Whether a company has 2 or 200 people working in it, we provide advocacy, build capability, and encourage celebration of business.
Role Description
This is a part-time (days/hours negotiable) on-site role as an Office Manager/EA at Northland Chamber of Commerce - NorthChamber in Whangarei.
The role involves overseeing office operations including finance, managing schedules, coordinating meetings and events, handling correspondence, member engagement, and providing executive support.
We're a small team so everyone pitches in - you'll need to be adaptable and personable.
You'll be working closely with the CEO to help build a vibrant and connected membership and work with our partners to deliver value to Northland business.
Our current office manager is retiring after 20 years, so despite small feet, these are big shoes to fill!
Capability

Excellent organisational and time management skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Knowledge of Xero and basic financials - credit and debtor management
Experience in administrative support roles would be preferred
Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
Flexible and responsive
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Previous experience in a similar capacity is a plus
