New Zealand Grazing Company – New Plymouth, North Island
Are you a friendly, service-focused, and organised professional looking to contribute to the success of a rural business that's been at the forefront of caring for dairy young stock for over 30 years? Our innovative approach includes using advanced animal tracking and monitoring utilising cloud systems to manage thousands of cattle for farmers and corporations.
We're looking for someone who can harmoniously oversee and coordinate the company's central office day-to-day activities, ensuring smooth operations across all financial, administrative, and operational systems.
We are seeking a friendly, vibrant, and organised person to:
Provide timely and accurate financial and administrative support to New Zealand Grazing Company Limited.
Operate and maintain our animal tracking and monitoring cloud database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
Use your farming knowledge to engage effectively with farmer clients and our rural team.
Manage payroll processes and assist in financial reporting.
Education, Skills, and Experience
The successful applicant will have:
Experience with cloud-based systems (animal or agricultural databases is an advantage).
Familiarity with Xero and payroll systems with at least 3 years of experience and a solid understanding of Excel.
Strong administration and organisational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A background in farming or an understanding of the agricultural industry.
Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise across multiple workflows.
The Role Requires
A service-focused attitude, working collaboratively in a small, close-knit team.
The ability to learn and manage both financial systems and operational databases.
Be responsible for the overall running of the office and office staff.
Create an environment where people feel safe to grow and innovate.
Flexibility to adapt to change and an open mind to improvements for better outputs.
This is a full-time position; hours are Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm based in New Plymouth.
You will work closely with our Operational Manager, Service Managers, and field team, reporting monthly to the Board of Directors and Senior Management Team.
