The business is continually growing and now is looking for an Office Assistant to join the team.About the RoleThis role could be a stepping stone towards a larger Administration position. Initially learn essential day-to-day office tasks required to run the business successfully, then progress to helping the team with their work to learn further skills and grow your role.Benefits and PerksSome flexibility in work hours, varied duties with the opportunity to grow the roleWork within a professional team with high standards who will appreciate a like-minded workmateGreat salary in a well-established local business with career prospectsKey Tasks and ResponsibilitiesInitial daily duties will include:Job invoicingLoading documentation into the accounting systemCollating spreadsheets and invoices to cost work completedProcess all documentation to accurately invoice out work completedEnsure all work has been invoicedAnswering telephones and ensuring customers in the store have been attended to by a salespersonEnsuring the store is tidy and all displays are welcoming to customersGreat delivery of these tasks could lead the successful candidate to a more senior position. As you learn your new role, you will be acquiring product knowledge and understanding of how this business operates. In doing so, your role can grow and lead you to a senior and responsible career. Your work attitude and ability will open the opportunities available.Skills and ExperienceProven successful office skills and experienceUse and understanding of Accredo would be an advantage, or experience in other advanced accounting programsUnderstanding of business and accounting principles and/or educational qualification in this areaExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to get alongside staff tactfully to achieve required resultsAbility to see the "big picture" and work with other departments to attain shared goalsHonest, hardworking and loyalAttention to detail, accuracy and the ability to work well under pressureAbility to learn processes of the Administration of the business to provide succession planning for both your future and future administration team membersTeam player and willing/capable of working alongside staff when there is a heavy workloadAbility to prioritise jobs to ensure important tasks come before urgent onesAble to provide solutions to issues quickly and effectivelyTake and use initiativePrepared to be accountableA willingness to gain basic product knowledge to assist in the understanding of job processing. A proven excellent work track record is required, and two work referees will be requested to progress your application.
