Administrative Assistants (Administration & Office Support)

Southern Eye Specialists is a premier eye specialist practice, providing comprehensive eye care services and surgery. We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our finance team. The successful candidate will enjoy flexible working hours between 0700 to 1730, Mon - Fri. This position is for 35 hours per week.
Purpose of the role:
• Provision of accounting and support services to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Contracts Coordinator.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with patient and third-party billing queries and debt collection
• Invoicing of contract services including medical studies
• Creditor management and payments
• Weekly cash banking
• Assisting with daily receipting and overpayment refunds
• Assisting with monthly financial and non-financial reporting
• General administration duties
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare sector
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting skills, working at an intermediate level
• Intermediate Xero knowledge
• Experience in working with Excel and practice management systems
• Excellent attention to detail
• Well-developed organisational skills and time/task management
• Willingness to contribute to and support the wider team
• Professional standards of presentation and work
• Ability to show initiative in a proactive manner
• Ability to prioritise and cope under pressure
